Introduction

Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1lb lean ground beef (93/7)
    9 saline crackers, crushed
    1/4 green bell peper, diced
    1/4 onion, diced finely
    1 lg egg
    1TBS worcestershire sauce(same for full and half batch)
    1tsp yellow mustard( same for full and half batch)
    1/2 c brown sugar(same for full and half batch)
    1/4c ketchup


Tips

half batch makes 5 servings
for full batch double recipe except where stated. Full makes 10 servings


Directions

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine 1st 8 igredients and 1/4c brown sugar, in a bowl just until blended. Place mixture in lightly greased 11x7 baking dish( smaller dish may be used for this half batch version), and shape into a loaf.
2. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. remove from oven and drain. Stir together ketchup and remaining brown sugar. Pour over meatloaf.Bake for 15 more minutes or until meat thermometer reads 160 degrees. Remove from oven and let stand approximately 20 minutes. Remove from baking dish before slicing.
