Chicken Soup

Introduction

Very Hearty Soup Very Hearty Soup
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3 Chicken Thighs ( or ckn pcs. of your choice)
    64 oz water
    1/2 tsp salt
    4 fresh basil leaves or equivalent
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1/4 tsp oregano powder
    1 tsp poultry seasoning
    1 tbsp concentrated chicken base
    3 stalks Celery chopped
    3 carrots peeled and cut
    1/2 10 oz pkg of Peas
    1/3 of the batch of Spelt Noodles from my other recipe

Directions

put water, salt, chicken, chicken base, poultry seasoning, oregano, onion, basil, bay leaves in large pan, let simmer till meat falls off the bone, using a slotted spoon, remove all the chicken pieces from the broth and sort out any bones and skin or unedible parts, put the good stuff back in the pan. Raise temperature so that broth boils, add spelt noodles, cook till tender 3-5 minutes, reduce heat and add veges, cook till tender. serve. makes 8 1-cup servings.
