Cranberries, 4 cups
whit or brown granulated Sugar, 3/4 cup
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
Blueberries, fresh or unthawed frozen (unsweetened), 0.5 cup,
Cinnamon, ground, .25 tsp or 1 cinnamon stick
Allspice, .25 tsp
Cloves, ground, .25 tsp or 5 whole cloves
Ginger, ground, .125 tsp
For additional texture, place spices in a a food-grade cloth pouch. At end of cooking time, remove pouch and just lightly crush any fruit that remains whole to give a more homogeneous texture.

Reduce fire to low setting and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Turn off fire.
Remove spice pouch if you used one.
Crush mixture using a (mashed) potato crusher.
Taste and add remaining sugar to desired sweetness, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
Strain to remove skin and spices using food-grade cloth. Enjoy!
