Stuffed Pepper Soup

Ingredients

    Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 8 oz
    Ground beef, lean, 8 oz
    White Rice, long grain, 1 cup (uncooked measurement; cooking first is recommended)
    green peppers, chopped/frozen, 2.75 cup (1 10-oz bag)
    Tomato Sauce, Hunt's, 3.25 cup (1 29-oz can)
    Petite Diced Tomatoes, Dei Fratelli, 3 cup (1 28-oz can)
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp (remove)
    Water, 6 cups (more or less to taste)

Tips

Can reduce the beef base to 1 Tablespoon. May also use low-sodium products.


Directions

Brown ground turkey and beef; pour off grease. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 40 minutes. Serve.
