Introduction

30 minutes to homemade yummy applesauce 30 minutes to homemade yummy applesauce
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    -1/2 cup water
    -3 or 4 apples- peeled, cored and sliced (I used granny smith bc I had them on hand, but sweeter apples would probably eliminate the need for sweetener)
    -1/2 tsp cinnamon
    -pinch of nutmeg
    -1 tsp of Splenda or sweetener (optional)



Directions

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the apples, cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Turn the heat up to medium, keep covered, for an additional 20 minutes until the apples are cooked through and soft. Remove from heat and mash the apples. Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and sweetener. Done!

Serving Size: makes at least 6 half cup servings
