Hunts Diced Tomatoes .5 cup= 121 g, 3.5 cup
*Perdue Fresh Ground Chicken, 16 oz
Safeway petite diced tomatoes w/ green chillies .5 c=121g, 14.5 oz
*Goya Dark Red Kidney Beans, 7 cup 2 cans rinsed
Onion large diced
Chili powder, 3 tbsp
*Cumin seed, 1 tbsp crushed to a powder
Pepper, black, 1 tsp
Garlic, 3 cloves
All spices can be increased according to taste.
Optional: serve over rice
cheese could be added.
To make in the slow cooker dump all the ingredients and cook on low for 6 hours. Place the onions in first and season as you layer the ingredients.
dice onion, crush garlic and sautee till clear. Remember to add some pepper as it cooks. Add chicken that has been seasoned with the chili powder and cumin, brown. Add the tomatoes and beans, cover and let simmer on low for 30 minutes.
Can be served alone or over rice and with cheese
