Pam's Corckpot Chicken

Introduction

I Had to come up with a tasty low sodium chicken recipe. One that both Mom & Dad would enjoy. Useing fresh herbs really helps when you take the salt out.

I Had to come up with a tasty low sodium chicken recipe. One that both Mom & Dad would enjoy. Useing fresh herbs really helps when you take the salt out.

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    One whole cut up chicken with the skin taken off
    6 sprigs of fresh rosemary--- 1 tbls dried
    8 small sage leaves--- 1 tsp dried
    3 sprigs thyme---1/2 tsp dried
    1 1/2 cup water

Tips

When done I strained the chicken broth to save to use late for a low sodium chicken broth. It is quite yummy.


Directions

Take the skin off the chicken pieces. put fresh herbs in bottom of the crockpot. Place chicken pieces on top. Add water. Turn crockpot to high. Cook for about 4 hours until chicken is tender.
