Ingredients

1 pound of split peas or aproximately 2 cups
2 ounces or about 0.75 cup lean diced ham
8 cups hot water
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 Tbsp onion powder
0.5 Tbsp garlic powder
6 drops liquid smoke
1-2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
other seasonings to taste
I used Mrs. Dash Steak & Carribbean Citrus as well as curry powder & Chef Meg's Italian Herb seasoning
Tips
Split Peas don't need to soak!
Directions
Sort & rinse peas. Add them to a large pot with ham & 8 cups hot water. Place pot over medium heat & add seasonings. Cover with lid tilted & simmer gently for 30 minutes or until desired tenderness
