Kenny Family Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

     1 lb. ground 80/20 hamburger
     1 cup white rice
     12 Boiled cabbage leaves
     teaspoon salt
     teaspoon black pepper
     15 oz. can Hunts tomato sauce
     8 oz. water

Directions

Instructions

 Preheat oven to 350 degrees
 Fill pot of water, place head of cabbage into water and turn on to boil for 10-15 minutes
 After boiling cut core out of cabbage, separate leaves 10-12 leaves and lay out on paper towel
 Cut additional leaves to place on bottom of 9x14 ungreased glass dish
 Prepare filling by mixing ground hamburger, salt, pepper and rice
 Cut core end of cabbage leaf, place 2.25 oz. of filling mixture at core end, fold sides and roll.
 Place prepared cabbage roll on cabbage bed
 Mix tomato sauce and water into bowl and pour over cabbage rolls
 Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours
