Coconut Squares From Tampa FL Newspaper

Ingredients

    1 box yellow cake mix
    1/2 cup butter
    1 egg
    1 tbl. water
    1 cup sweetened coconut
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 pound (about 4 cups) powdered sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp vanilla

Tips

This is sweet, but oh so good and easy to make.


Directions

mix cake mix, butter, egg and water; press into 13 x 9x3 pan. Set aside.
Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla, stopping to scrape down sides of bowl.
Pour over crust
Bake for 40 to 45 mins at 350; until top is golden brown and set. Cool before cutting int0 32 squares.

Serving Size: Makes 32 1" squares (13x9x3 pan 4 down and 7 across)
