Ingredients

    3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp fresh minced ginger
3/4 tsp fresh garlic (approx - add to taste)
    1/3 cup brown sugar packed
    2 tbs honey
    1 tbs minced onion
    1 tbs nakano rice vinegar
Optional - crushed chili flakes for a bit of zing

Tips

I make one batch for marinade and another to strain and serve as a condiment. makes about 1 cup after straining.. serving size - 1 Tbs

Directions

You can make this on the stovetop or microwave. Mix all ingrediants and bring to a boil, stirring to disolve sugar. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 min. (50% power on microwave).

If using as a marinade or stir fry you may skip the next step.

If using as a condiment let stand till cool, then pour into a jar thru a strainer, discard contents of strainer. I use a salad dressing cruet and store in frig.
