Potato Soup

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    -lots of potatoes
    -plenty of frozen peas (or green beans)
    -an onion
    -unsalted butter
    -all purpose flour
    -milk
    -celery
    -mushrooms
    -Garlic
    -seasonings of your choice I use
    -Garlic powder
    -onion powder
    -Parsley
    -Salt and pepper
    -

Directions

wash and cut potato's, boil potato's in a large soup pot
cut an onion, add half to potato's that were just set to boil
wash and cut mushrooms
once potato's are soft, drain .25-.50 of the water and turn down heat to medium-low
add frozen green peas
in a frying pan, melt 2 tablespoon then add about 2 tablespoon of flour and rapidly mix
once the butter and flour is mixed add about 1/3 cup of milk and rapidly mix till there are no lumps
add the butter, flour, and milk mixture to the potatoes and stir.
keep making batches of the butter, flour, and milk mixture intill it is thick enough (I usually only add two)
mix in all your seasonings to taste.


Serving Size: usually around 6 quarts
