Sesame Cabbage Stir-Fry w/ TempehSubmitted by: BOKJOY
IntroductionSuper easy and quick. Not fancy (I wouldn't serve this to company, probably!), but a great for a quick weeknight meal. Super easy and quick. Not fancy (I wouldn't serve this to company, probably!), but a great for a quick weeknight meal.
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 package (8 oz) tempeh
1 package (15 oz) cabbage/carrot slaw mix
1.5 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp Sriracha hot chile sauce (less or more to taste--spicy!)
If you omit the tempeh, this works great as a base for Asian dishes if you're looking for an alternative to rice.
Definitely use sesame oil instead of another type--it is what provides a lot of the flavor for this dish. If you're not familiar with it, it is delicious, smells wonderful, and has mostly "good" fats.
