Introduction

A lily pad green smoothie that tastes like a creamy banana shake and is loaded with nutrients. I make this without ice for a cool, but not cold smoothie, which aids in digestion. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 Banana
    1 apple
    1 orange
    100g frozen strawberries
    10g or about 10 sprigs of watercress
    50g Romaine Lettuce
    50g brocolli
    100g spinach
    2 scoops of Pro Performance AMP - Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 - this is a low carb, low fat, pure protein powder. I like to use the vanilla flavor.
    1 cup water
    1 cup ice (optional)

Directions

Chop veggies and fruits into chunks and layer in your Vitamix or heavy duty blender as so: water, protein powder, leafy soft veggies, soft fruits, hard veggies & fruits, ice. You made need to pulse the bottom ingredients a bit to make room for everything. Blend on Smoothie setting or use your variable speeds to rev up from 1 to 10 slowly over the course of 2 min, until blended smooth.

Drink and enjoy!

Serving Size: Makes 38 oz, which I have divided into 4 servings. Best when drunk within 8 hours but can be stored in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 2 days.
