Submitted by: 3RDBABYWEIGHT

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 cups wheat flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 cup buttermilk

Directions

Heat the oven to 450°F. Place the stick of butter in an 8-inch square microwave safe baking dish. Place the dish and butter in the microwave and melt the butter.Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Stir in buttermilk slowly and stir gently.Remove baking dish and butter from the microwave and press biscuit dough in the pan on top of the melted butter. (DIP YOUR FINGERS INTO THE BUTTER TO SPREAD – IT HELPS KEEP THE DOUGH FROM STICKING.) Using a knife, score the biscuit dough or cut into 9 or 12 squares – however big you’d like your biscuits to be.). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes OR until golden on top.
Remove from oven, cool a bit and finish cutting with a knife. Serve and enjoy.
