3 cups (600g) white plain flour
1 cup (160g) whole wheat plain flour
2 tsps of olive oil
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 1/2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of oil
Cut dough in half, then cut each half into 24 even portions. Knead each portion well. Roll each portion of dough into a long thin sausage, roll up into a coil, flatten with hand. Roll coil out to a 15cm round.
Heat heavy -based pan over medium heat, lightly grease with oil. cook chapatis, 1 at a time, pressing edge of each chapati lightly with clean cloth during cooking to encourage it to rise. When goldern brown patches appear on bottom, turn and cook other side until golden brown, pressing edge with cloth.
Serving Size: makes 6 15cm round
