Homemade granola bars

These are easy to make and a good snack or breakfast on the go. These are easy to make and a good snack or breakfast on the go.Number of Servings: 36
Ingredients

3 cups rice crispy cereal
3 cups minute oatmeal (don't use old fashioned)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup splenda
1 tsp vanilla
Tips
Be sure to press the mixture into the pan well or they will fall apart when you cut them.
Directions
In small pan melt butter. Add honey, brown sugar and splenda. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for about 2 min. Add vanilla, stir and remove from heat. While the above it cooking put cereal and oatmeal in a seperate bowl and stir to mix. Add honey mixture and stir until well coated. Press into a oiled pan and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. The heat from the mixture will melt them slightly and they will stay. Allow to cool. Cut into 36 bars and enjoy.
