Ham and Bean Soup

Introduction

This is a good recipe for leftover ham. You can put a ham bone in the pot, cook the meat off and finish the soup. You can also use dried beans (use 1 1lb bag of dried beans) This is a good recipe for leftover ham. You can put a ham bone in the pot, cook the meat off and finish the soup. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    5 C Ham, Diced
    5 Large Potatoes Chopped
    1 Medium Onion, Chopped
    3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
    1 28oz Can Diced Tomatoes
    7 C great Northern Beans (15.5 oz and 40.5 oz can)
    Ribblets (see recipe for ribblets and add whole thing to the pot)

Directions

Combine Ham, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and beans in large pot and cover with water. Cook until beans are starting to fall apart. Add ribblets and potatoes and cook until potatoes are done. (add water if necessary)

Makes about 12 bowls of soup
