cardamon spice, ground, 0.5 tsp (remove)
Cloves, ground, 0.5 tsp
Ginger, ground, 0.75 tsp (remove)
Paprika, 2 tbsp (remove)
Chili powder, 2 tbsp (remove)
Cinnamon, ground, 2 tsp (remove)
Cumin seed, 4 tsp (remove)
Coriander seed, 4 tsp (remove)
Salt, 2 tsp (remove)
Pepper, red or cayenne, 0.5 tbsp (remove)
Beef, top sirloin, 32 oz (remove)
Salt & Pepper to taste
Coconut Oil, 2 tbsp (remove)
Onions, raw, 2 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove)
Coconut Milk, 1 cup (remove)
Water, tap, 1.25 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
Melt coconut oil in a lg pot or skillet over med high heat. Brown roast on all sides. Add onions, cook until they start to become translucent. Remove meat to the slow cooker. Continue cooking onions until they begin to brown. Add spices to skillet and cook for 1 minute. De-glaze the pan with the water, scraping all the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add coconut milk and bring to a bubble. Remove from heat and pour over roast in slow cooker. Cook on high 4-6 hours, low 6-8 or until roast is easily shredded. Serve over cauli rice or by itself like chili.
