*Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree, 3.625 cup
Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed
Water, tap, 0.75 cup (8 fl oz)
*McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
*Pumpkin Pie spice, 1 tbsp
put a lid when boiling with room to vent-other you'll get a nice liquid burn from the popping
the USDA recommends now "not" to keep canned pumpkin in pantry because pumpkin is dense & may not reach 240 degrees center temp. I play it safe & can in water bath then store in fridge. This helps keep it for awhile with no problems.
Note: Prep time is longer if you are canning due to sterilizing jars/lids. Permit yourself an extra 30 min. to get all canning finished up.
Remove from heat and serve immediately OR store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
TO CAN IT:
To can: Prep jars. I keep my jars in oven to keep warm (oven is heated) until ready to use after I steralize them. Rims & Lids kept in hot water after steralizing them. Put lid & rim on (not tight) once jars are full (leave 1/4" head space). Water bath for 15 min. in already boiling water. 2" water above jars.
Let cool & pop
Store in fridge.
Serving Size: 64 servings= 1 tablespoon
