Tomato Alfredo Steak Pasta for One

Introduction

Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    2 oz whole wheat pasta, cooked and drained
    1/3 c chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic minced
    1 heaping cup sliced mushroom
    2 oz lean thin skirt steak, cut in strips
    1/3 bell pepper chopped, any color
    1/2 Classico Spaghetti sauce, Tomato and Basil
    1/2 c FF chicken broth
    1/3 c frozen peas
    1 tbsp whip cream cheese (I use Kraft with chives)
    Desired seasonings: salt, pepper, dry or fresh oregano, thyme


Tips

Use 2 oz ground turkey or beef instead of skirt steak.


Directions

Spray a cooking pan with oil spray and heat to high heat. Stir fry onion, garlic, steak, mushroom, and pepper until meat is no longer red, about 3 minutes. Add spaghetti sauce, peas, broth, and seasonings to taste. Cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Uncover and stir in cream cheese until melted and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in cooked pasta.
