IntroductionThis will be my first attempt at making my "own" Veggie Burgers. This will be my first attempt at making my "own" Veggie Burgers.
1 cup= Oatmeal
1 cup= finely chopped mushrooms
1 cup= Water Chestnuts, blended to where it looks like mashed potatoes
1 cup Brown Rice , cooked
1/4 cup + or - corn starch
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper (bell)
1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeno
1/4 cup finely chopped black olives
1/4 cup finely grated / chopped carrot
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Olive oil for frying,
Mix together all ingredients let cool for about an hour / cook rice before adding .
you may have to add a little corn starch or flour to thicken mixture, it was very tasty...and with the left over mixture I made a Veggie Meat loaf.......
Serving Size: 10 bun sized burgers
