Crockpot Lasagna

Ingredients

1 lb extra lean beef
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves
1 can tomato sauce (28 oz)
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1.5 tsp salt
1 tsp dried oregano
2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup low-fat parmesan cheese
250 g brown lice lasagna noodles (about 9 noodles)
8 oz shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Tips
You can add frozen/thawed spinach to cottage cheese.
You can also make this with wheat noodles.
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
Directions
Brown ground beef, onion and garlic. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano. Cook long enough to warm. Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a double layer of uncooked lasanga noodles (break to fit) and top with cheeses. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
