Turkey Dhal Bombs

Introduction

I came up with this one to start getting using up leftovers. I tend to make too much of one thing at a time, so I cleverly used my leftover Dahl (see dahlrecipe) withh some ground turkey and veggies to make a meatloaf like meal. I made a large batch and instead of doing it in a meatloaf pan, I created large meatballs and kebob style patties. Yummy! I came up with this one to start getting using up leftovers. Ingredients

    1/2 kilo ground turkey raw
    1 cup dahl - see recipe, use less water to make more paste like
    1 small onion sweet
    1 cup spinach cut up
    1/2 sweet pepper
    1.5 cup chopped broccoli
    1 large portebello mushroom
    2 slices whole grain bread
    1 egg
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
    1/2 tsp tumeric
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Puree vegetables
Mix and mash all ingredients
Create 12-15 hand size balls or kebobs
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until browned

Serving Size: 100 grams, approx 2 pcs
