IntroductionLow fat chili..yum.... Low fat chili..yum....
Brown 2 lbs of lean ground beef (or turkey), add 1 cup chopped onions, 2 crushed garlic cloves, and 1 cup chopped celery. Instead of oil I just put in 1/4-1/2 cup of water so that the meat doesn't stick to the pot.
Once meat is cooked, and veggies softened, add 2 cans chopped tomatoes, 1/2 cup diced green peppers ( or other colored peppers). Add spices: oregano 1 TBSP, 1 TBSP curry, 3 TBSP chili powder (to your taste adjust ammount), and 1 tsp salt.
Simmer 20-40 minutes.
Serving Size: makes approximately 20 servings - 1 1/2 cups
