2 pounds fresh or frozen tomatoes peeled 2 T. butter 3/4 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic chopped 4 cups chicken broth 1 T. dried basil or 1 1/2T chopped fresh basil 2 T water 1 T flour 1 teas. paprika
I added some dried parsley and dill to my soup this recipe doesn't have salt in you may want to add salt and or sugar to taste.
In a stock pot over meduim heat melt butter sautee the onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, basil and broth bring to simmer, simmer 20 minutes. Mix the flour, paprika and water together add to the soup mixture and stir cook for another 5 minutes. For a smooth soup blend in a blender.
