When I make marinara sauce, it depends on what ingredients and spices I have on hand. The sauce changes each time I make it so I have decided to give each one a number. Ingredients

1/4 cup extra virgin olive
1/4 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup fresh basil,chopped
1 can San Marzano Tomatoes, 28 oz
2 cans tomaote sauce, 7 oz
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt(to taste)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Wild Sicilian Oregano(or any dried oregano)
1/2 bulb fresh garlic(or less to taste)
1 tbsp turbinado sugar
2 tsp smoked paprika
Tips
Stir at every 10 or 15 minutes during cook time.
Directions
1. Saute onion, bell pepper, and garlic in olive oil.
2. Add tomatoes and tomatoe sauce. Stir to blend. Bring to low boil.
3. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well to mix.
4. Cover and simmer on low heat at least one hour.(For thinner sauce add broth or water)
5. Cann be served chunky style or pureed with stick blender.
Serving Size: Makes 10 one cup servings.
