Ingredients

    1/2 cup unsalted butter
    1/2 cup light olive oil
    1/2 cup cold water
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)

Tips

Some people may wonder why I list unsalted butter, and then add salt? It's because I make my own butter from raw milk. But,of course, you can use any butter to make this recipe, and if you use salted butter, just omit the salt. Although optional, I find the salt really brings out the true flavor of the butter.

Directions

With electric mixer, mix together softened butter, olive oil and salt until well blended (30 seconds to a minute). Turn beater to high and gradually add cold water (another 30 seconds to a minute). Place in a 2 cup storage container and keep in the fridge. Butter will remain soft and spreadable.
