Ingredients

    2-1/2 (1 pound) loaves day-old white bread, cubed
    2-1/2 pounds pork sausage or chopped giblets, cooked and drained
    1-1/4 cups chopped celery
    1/4 cup finely chopped onion
    1 pound butter or margarine
    1-3/4 cups and 2 tablespoons chicken broth, divided
    1-1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 teaspoon rubbed sage
    3/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/2 teaspoon celery salt
    1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

Directions

Toss the bread cubes and sausage; set aside. In a saucepan over medium heat, saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Remove from the heat. Stir in 3-3/4 cups broth and seasonings; mix well. Pour over bread mixture; mix well. Add desired amount of remaining broth. Place mixture in four greased 3-qt. baking dishes. Cover and bake at 325 degrees F for 1-1/4 hours. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until heated through.
