Introduction

Combined a friend's chili recipe with another one I had. Her "secret" was the French Onion soup. Combined a friend's chili recipe with another one I had. Her "secret" was the French Onion soup.

Ingredients

    2lbs 93% lean ground beef (use leaner, but will need to adjust nutrition info
    1 c chopped onion
    1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies (do not drain)
    1 can petite diced tomatoes
    2 cans kidney beans (do not drain)
    1 can Campbell's less Sodium French Onion soup
    1 8oz can tomato sauce
    1 6oz can tomato paste
    2 packets McCormick original chili seasoning

Tips

I try to add low sodium ingredients whenever possible. I didn't have a lot of them on hand for this recipe, so the sodium content is extremely high. Adjust as needed.


Directions

Chop tomatoes. Brown ground been and drain. Combine soup, sauce and paste (prior to mixing with other ingredients). Add everything in crockpot and cook 8-10 hours.

Serving Size: Makes 10 1-cup servings
