Almond Butter Satay

Introduction

So all week i've been trying to eat clean again. I've been basically living off of brown rice and stir fry.... but I found something that I'm completely and utterly addicted to and I figured you would probably love it too so I'm sharing the easiest, quickest sauce I've ever invented... plus it's high in protein and good fats so what could be better? I've been basically living off of brown rice and stir fry.... but I found something that I'm completely and utterly addicted to and I figured you would probably love it too so I'm sharing the easiest, quickest sauce I've ever invented... plus it's high in protein and good fats so what could be better?
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 Tbsp Almond Butter
    1 Tsp Sweet Soy Sauce (or regular/light soy sauce with a bit of brown sugar)
    1/2 Tsp Chili Sauce (Sambal Olek or blended Chipotle with Adobo Sauce, etc)
    Water

Tips

Serve over rice, veggies, chicken, turkey, or anything that needs a nutty kick.


Directions

In a saucepan, warm almond butter and mix with small amounts of water over medium heat until soft. Add sweet soy (or soy & a bit of brown sugar) & chili sauce and continue to mix with small amounts of water until the desired consistency and amount (the almond butter will keep thickening the water so you can make quite a bit of sauce by adding water to the mixture over medium to low heat)
