I've loved putting cottage cheese in with microwaveable quick oats since I discovered it with my Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal. It adds protein to the morning and a thick texture to the oatmeal you don't need cream for! Ingredients

1/4 cup quick oats, dry
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese (1%)
1/2 cup natural applesauce
1 tsp cinnamon
__________
Optional add ins
little brown sugar
vanilla or other flavor extract
other fruit and nuts!
Tips
If you like runnier oatmeal, add a little water. Not too much since the applesauce and cottage cheese has enough moisture in them.
Also, feel free to go up to 1/2 cup oatmeal or add some brown sugar to this if you wish!
Directions
Super easy and quick in the morning, simply mix all ingredients in a bowl and pop in the microwave. I do on high for a minute, stir, then another minute.
