Crock Pot Mongolian Beef

Submitted by: SUNNYPNUT

Introduction

This recipe is a simple Mongolian Beef that I like to prepare in advance, freeze, and then toss in the crock pot. Super easy. Serve with some rice and broccoli, and top with some green onions, and you have a great meal! Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 lb. diced beef (sometimes called "Stew Beef")
    2 tsp. olive oil
    1 onion, roughly chopped
    3 tsp minced garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce (I prefer the low-sodium version)
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 cup hoisin sauce

Directions

If preparing from frozen, thaw slightly before putting in crock pot. If preparing fresh, just combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. If you need more time than that, you can just add some water to make sure everything isn't drying out.

Serving Size: Makes approx. 6 servings
