2 Large Firm & Ripe Beefsteak Tomatoes 1/4 Cup Whole Wheat Flour 2 Tbsp. Olive or Canola Oil Salt, Pepper Garlic Salt to taste
Slice each tomato into 4 or five slices and discard the two ends or use in a salad later. Place whole wheat flour in a serving dish and season with salt, pepper and garlic salt. In a large frying pan heat 1 tbsp. of Canola or Olive Oil on medium high heat. Dredge slices of one tomato in the seasoned flour and fry until golden brown. Remove to a plate and place in preheated oven while dredging the remaining slices in the seasoned flour. Add additional oil as needed if pan becomes too dry.
