Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 pound ground sirloin
    5 cups water
    1 (16 oz) can crushed tomatoes
    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup sliced carrots
    1 cup chopped celery
    1/3 cup pearl barley
    1/4 cup Heinz catsup
    1 teaspoons seasoned salt
    1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
    salt and pepper to taste

Tips


Directions

In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown ground beef. Drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring just to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer covered 1 hour.
