Wheat Penne Pasta with Garlic Pesto

Ingredients

    1 box Whole Wheat Penne Pasta
    .25 C pesto
    1 T Capers
    .5 C Fresh Brocolli
    .25 C Chopped Bell Peppers
    3 T Shredded Parmesean Cheese
    2 T Chopped/Minced Garlic
    .25 C Chopped Baby Carrots
    2 T Olive Oil
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Tips

Can add cooked chicken breast or cooked shrimp if you want meat with it. (not included nutrition info)


Directions

Cut up veggies and steam for 6 min.
Boil box of whole wheat pasta for 8-10 min.
Saute pesto, golive oil, garlic, and seasonings (salt and pepper) in skillet for about 3-4 min.
Drain and rinse pasta, add steamed veggies and pesto mixture. Mix in capers and cheese.
