Introduction

Chunky vegetable tomato sauce. Great with ground turkey and whole wheat pasta. Recipe does not include meat or pasta. Would go good over rice or as a soup base. Chunky vegetable tomato sauce. Ingredients

    1 10.75 oz. can Campbell's Healthy Request Tomato soup
    1 soup can of water
    1 14.5 oz. can DelMonte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, Oregano - no salt added
    1 cup zucchini (chopped)
    1/2 cup green bell pepper (chopped)
    1/2 cup onion (chopped)
    1/2 cup baby carrots (chopped) - approx. 8
    1 cup mushrooms, fresh (chopped)
    1 tbsp. parsley (dried)
    2 tsp. Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning
    1 pk. Stevia sweetener (2 oz.)
    6 tbsp. Tomato paste

Tips

You can put this over pasta or rice and add meat of your choice. The nutritional information is only for the sauce.


Directions

Combine all ingredients in sauce pan except for the tomato paste. Heat to a simmer. Cook low until vegetables are tender. Add tomato paste to thicken. Stir occasionally to avoid burning to bottom of pan.

Serving Size: makes 6 1-cup servings
