Chili Mac Soup

Introduction

Very simple, comfort food recipe. I like to add a T of reduced fat sour cream to each serving. Very simple, comfort food recipe. I like to add a T of reduced fat sour cream to each serving.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1lb lean ground beef
    1 package chili seasoning
    2 cans of diced or stewed tomatoes
    1 14 oz can of fat free chicken broth
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 medium onion
    1 15 oz can of chili beans
    3-4 cups of water
    1/4 tsp onion powder
    2 tsp sugar
    1 C uncooked elbow macaroni
    1 15 oz can of tomato sauce

Directions

Spray dutch oven with cooking spray, brown beef over medium heat, drain any fat. Add chili seasoning,stir,then add remaining ingredients except macaroni. Simmer over low/medium heat for 45 minutes. Add macaroni and cook additional 15 minutes.

Serving Size: makes 12 generous cup servings
