Bert's easy Marinara Sauce

Introduction

This is a very easy, vegetarian spaghetti sauce. I use it for any pasta dish or on top of chicken, beef or fish for a light tomato sauce. This is a very easy, vegetarian spaghetti sauce. I use it for any pasta dish or on top of chicken, beef or fish for a light tomato sauce.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 cans of Hunt's Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
    1 cup chopped green pepper
    1/2 diced onion
    1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Seasoning (original or onion & herb)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbs. basil or oregano
    1 cup of water

Tips

You can also add zucchini, squash or your other favorite vegetables for more substance and flavor.


Directions

put all ingredients into a pot and simmer 45 to 60 minutes. The longer you cook it, the thicker it will be. If you want it to be thicker, you can add a small can tomato paste or a little cornstarch paste mixture. This is very quick and easy to put together and
