Brocolli Seafood Chowder

Ingredients

    peel and cube 5 potatoes or about 2 cups
    finely chop about one cup of brussell sprouts and two leeks.
    Add these to a deep soup pot.

    Boil a full tea kettle, approximately 10 cups of water and add to the potatoes, leeks and brussell sprouts.

    Set the pot on the element at a low level with the lid closed. The low temperature and boiling water will soften the veggies within 20 minutes or so.

    Mix a paste of 1/4 cup flower and 1/4 cup of half/half cream. Mix to a paste and add hot water from the dutch oven pot to thin the paste. Add this to the soup pot, stirring well to ensure there are no lumps.

    Add the shrimp, imitation crab meat and imitation lobster meat to the pot.

    Season to taste. Let this simmer for about an hour.

cook in a deep soup pot on the stove at a low temperature
