Italian Sausage and Peppers

Introduction

Ingredients

    Whole pack of Jennie O Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage
    3 C Green Peppers
    1 Small Onion, sliced thin wedges
    2 Garlic Cloves
    1C Reggano Traditional Spaghetti Sauce
    1/4 C Dry Red Wine
    1 TBS Cornstarch
    1 TBS Water

Tips

We are eating ours over spaghetti and topping with Parmesan Cheese. (not included in recipe)


Directions

Place Bell Peppers and Onion Slices in the Crock Pot. Arrange sausage over veggies. Combine Spaghetti sauce ad wine mixture and pour over sausage. Cover and cook 8-9 hrs on Low or 4-5 hrs on High or until sausage is cooked through and veggies are tender.
Transfer sausage to plate and cover to keep warm.
Mix cornstarch and water mixture and pour in the crock pot. Stir and let thicken. Add sausage again or leave as is.
