Cabbage Soup

Introduction

High in Potassium and low in calories. Great with a whole grain dinner roll. High in Potassium and low in calories. Great with a whole grain dinner roll.
Number of Servings: 14

Ingredients

    4-6 Potatoes (diced)
    1 large can Tomatoes (or 1 qt)
    5-6 stalks Celery (chopped)
    1-2 onions (chopped)
    1 -1 lb bag of baby carrots sliced
    3 cups Chicken or beef broth (or substitute with boullion)
    1 medium head cabbage (shredded)
    2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Directions

Cut up vegetables and put in Crock pot with tomatoes, broth and 2 cups water (or 5 cups water and 3-4 boullion cubes) and set on medium. Brown Venison or Lean ground beef with minced garlic in skillet and add to crock pot. In last 10 minutes add Barley and Cabbage.

Serving Size: makes approx 14 - 1.5 cups servings
