Ingredients

I use can beans its just easier.
4 cans Dakota's black beans (aldi)
1 can Casa Mamita tomatoes with green chillis (aldi)
1 can chicken broth (aldi) or vegie broth
1 onion diced
1 green paper diced
2 - 3 stalks celery diced (or you can just cut in half if you just want to use them for flavor and not eat them)
1 whole package of Parkview beef smoke sausage diced (you can also use the pork kind if you eat pork or no meat at all if you are a vegitarian)
about 2 cups water
1 tbsp of minced garlic
onion powder and salt to taste
for those that really like spicy you can add one fresh jalapeno pepper diced
Tips
this recipe works well with any beans and you can substitute the meat or just leave it out altogether
Directions
combine all ingredients into a large pot cover and bring to boil for about 20 minutes stirring to keep from sticking then reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour the liquid will thicken a bit you can eat with rice or plain.
