IntroductionThis is a basic old fashion pound cake passed down through the family. This is a basic old fashion pound cake passed down through the family.
• 4 cups Swan’s Down plain flour (sifted)
• 4 cups gradulated sugar
• 4 sticks unsalted butter
• 10 Large Eggs
• 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Flavoring
•Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
•Grease and lightly floured tube cake pan.
•Cream together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. (about 15 minutes)
•Add eggs, one and a time, beating well after each addition.
•Add vanilla flavoring.
•Lightly mix in flour with spatula or on low speed of stand mixer
•Spoon unto pan.
•Let bake for 1 hour 10 minutes
