Ingredients

    4 - 4 oz B/S chicken breasts

We lowered the sodium by making our own "shake 'n bake" with panko bread crumbs and herbs and spices. Excellent and very easy. - 3/14/09

Amazing!! I have it bad for this food & I've had to give it up b/c it's so bad - this is SUCH an awesome idea! I couldn't find my tenderizer - so I just "butterflied" the breasts - smeared the cheese & layed the ham. Folded the chicken & sprinkled the breadcrumbs. Quick, Easy & Delish! THANK YOU!! - 2/25/09

This was REALLY good, and easy. My hubby wants me to add it to my favorites, he loved it so much. I used a piece of turkey bacon instead of the ham though and it was a nice alternative. - 1/12/09

  • This is an excellent, simply recipe. we are trying to get in better shape, but get tired of cooking different meals for us and the kids. Everyone loved this recipe (4 kids too ages 5-14). Ended up just doing a butterfly cut but wish I would have pounded it out to make it thinner. Recommended! - 2/28/13

  • This is so darn good. And really simple to make. I did omit the shake N Bake and opted for panko. I also didn't have toothpicks so I just put the open side down in the pan which worked fine. I also saute it when reheating leftovers which gives a golden color on the panko. - 11/21/12

  • I thought this was really good because it does give you that crunchy craving satisfaction. The laughing cow ontop was the real winner because it gave you that extra flavor. I'll be using this recipe more often, its so easy! - 9/12/12

  • This turned out really great. I used the laughing cow garlic and herb. I did put a little butter on my pan and put it in the oven to melt them dredged my chicken in it, after I rolled them up, then sprinkled some shake n bake on them. My son who is 16 absolutely loved it, as did my husband and I. - 7/12/12

  • This was absolutely delicious. I made a few minor tweaks: used turkey ham, and made my own breadcrumb mixture, but this is definitely a keeper. I used the garlic and herb Laughing Cow. The difficulty I had was trying to roll the chicken. I think next time, I might try butterflying them. Thanks! - 3/13/12

  • My boyfriend loved it but said that it shouldn't be repeated again (nice hint). Though the chicken cordon bleu came out juicy and nice, it didn't have that fresh home-cooked taste. I would repeat this recipe using regular swiss cheese and panko bread crumbs. - 11/15/11

  • I made this over the weekend and loved it. The only thing I'm going to do different is to coat the outside of the chicken with the Shake N Bake mix before adding the cheese and hame instead of sprinkling the mix onto the chicken after it's put on the baking tray. - 5/2/11

Was this review helpful?   yes  No
  • This was awesome! I had it last night for dinner (and today for lunch, lol) and really enjoyed it. It was very satisfying!
The only thing I did differently was I added some dried parsley on top, and sprayed it with some cooking spray before cooking (to keep the crumbs on, and to aid in browning). - 4/29/11

  • This is the best Cordon Bleu I've ever had! I'll definitely be making again! I was nervous because I've never done stuffed chicken breast before (i've always been afraid I'd mess them up) but this was so easy and it didn't leak out everywhere. - 4/7/11

  • Delicious! This recipe was a huge hit with my family! Loved, Loved it.. The only thing I did different was after I pounded the chix out, I sprinkled Chix and beef seasoning then spread the cheese on top, that's only because I could only find plain cheese. Again, it was awesome! Thx 4 sharing! - 1/22/11

  • This recipe was okay. I left off the shake & bake, because I didn't have any. I think I would try this recipe again, but season the chicken a bit before cooking, and definitely use the shake & bake. Because as it was, it was quite bland. Even my boyfriend didn't like it. - 2/17/10

  • I think this is a great idea, but it just didn't work for me. I love all of the ingredients separately, but the cheese didn't seem to melt properly - just got clumpy. My husband liked it well enough, but I probably wouldn't make it again. - 10/7/09
