Lower Carb Keema 2
IntroductionUtilizing Tofu with a keema recipe Utilizing Tofu with a keema recipe
1 lb of lean ground chuck (80 %)
1 pkg of tofu cut into cubes (15 oz pkg)
1 onion, chopped
1/2 a small can of tomato paste
1 cup of grape tomatoes
1 tbp curry powder
1/2 teaspoon each of cinnamon, turmeric, ginger
salt and pepper to your taste
Cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to your taste.
Serve this with rice or over a bed of spinach. The original recipe has a cup of diced potatoes and 1/2 cup of green peas. I eliminated those, you can substitute greep pepper for the peas and cauliflower for the potatoes for a lower carb version.
