Light chai tea cake

Ingredients
◦1 1/3 cup flour
◦1 teaspoon baking powder
◦1/4 teaspoon salt
◦3 eggs, yolks and whites separated
◦1 cup sugar(I use half sugar and half Splenda)
◦1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
◦2 tablespoons chai tea
◦1/3 cup + 4 teaspoons (100 ml) milk

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small saucepan, heat the milk slightly. Add tea and steep off the heat for five to ten minutes. Strain to remove tea leaves and spices, set aside and let the liquid temper. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until they turn white. In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff and then incorporate them into the yolk mixture, folding. Then add the flour mixture alternately with milk. Arrange in well greased muffin cups and bake for twenty minutes.
