Fudge Frosting

Introduction

This frosting goes with the steamed chocolate cupcakes if wished, or any other cake, but it's not heart healthy. It can be replaced by fat-free, sugar-free vanilla yogurt, or custard, or left out altogether. Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Low fat condensed milk 1/2 can
    Vanilla 1 tsp
    Butter, unsalted 1/4 cup (1/2 stick)
    Cocoa 2 tbsp

Tips

The sugar is unavoidable, but the butter can be replaced with almond oil or hazelnut oil, 3tbsp. If you add a little skim milk before heating, you can use it as a fudge sauce.


Directions

Combine all ingredients in a small non-stick saucepan. Stir over low heat until frosting thickens. Cool a little before using.

Serving Size: Frosts 12 cupcakes or one whole cake.
