Minced beef steak 500 grams
Onions, raw, 70 grams
Garlic, 1 clove
Ground Cumin, 1 tsp
Mixed Herbs, 1 tsp
Egg, fresh, 1 medium
Edam Cheese, 60 grams
Galaxy Blue Vein, 15 gram
Tips
Directions
Finely chop the onion and garlic. Add it to the mince in a medium sized bowl, and mix in (easiest with your hands). Sprinkle on the herbs and again knead it through the mince. Make a well and crack the egg in. Mix it through roughly with a fork, and then get your hands in then again to get a consistent texture.
Cut the cheese into small dice.
Divide the mince mixture into 4. Take one portion, form a ball and then flatten it out. Place 1/4 of the cheese in the middle of the flattened mince, then fold over the edges and ensure the cheese is thoroughly contained within the meat. The pattie will be about an inch thick.
Repeat with remaining patties.
Cook on the bbq or in a cast-iron skillet, using a high heat to sear the outside, then a lower heat to ensure it is thoroughly cooked.
Serve in a burger bun with salad (not included in nutritional information.
