    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter softened
    1 8oz. cream cheese, divided
    2 golden apples peeled thinly sliced
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 c. sliced almonds


1. Use pulsing action to process flour, butter and 1/2 cream cheese in food processor until mixture is well blended, and start to pull away from sides.
2. Shape into ball, wrap thightly with plastic wrap and refg. 1 hour or until chilled.
3. Heat oven 400 degrees. Roll pastry on lightly floured surface to 14 x 8 retangle. Place on parchment paper and set aside.
4. Mix remaing cream cheese and h 1/2 dry gelatin mix until well blended.
5. Spread onto pastry to within 2" of edges.
6. Toss apples with remaing dry gelatin , cornstarch and cinnamon.
7. Spoon over cream cheese filling.
8. Fold edges of pastry over apples.
9. Apples in center of tart will remain exposed.
10. Sprinkle with walnuts.
11. Bake for 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender. Cool.
